Mari Energies Limited and Fatima Fertilizer Company Limited have formalized agreements for the Pressure Enhancement Facilities (PEF) project at the Mari gas field in Daharki, Sindh, according to filings submitted to the Pakistan Stock Exchange.
The agreements also include Fauji Fertilizer Company Limited and Engro Fertilizers Limited as consortium partners. Mari Energies, which holds full operational control of the field, confirmed signing multiple contracts with fertilizer sector stakeholders tied to the project.
The PEF initiative involves upgrading pipeline infrastructure and installing compression systems across the gas network, alongside ongoing operations and maintenance.
According to the disclosures, the project is designed to “maintain the required delivery pressure” from the Habib Rahi Limestone reservoir while extending the field’s production plateau.
Fatima Fertilizer stated that the development will support consistent gas availability, noting it would enhance pipeline efficiency and compression capacity. The project is expected to secure uninterrupted gas supply to fertilizer plants, reinforcing domestic urea production and contributing to output stability nationwide.
