NUST Hosts Roundtable on Engineering Innovation

On 7 August 2025, National University of Sciences and Technology (NUST) ICON, in association with the NUST School of Mechanical & Manufacturing Engineering, SMME , organized the 3rd Roundtable on Advanced Engineering and Technology Solutions. The event was jointly chaired by Mr Adil Khattak CEO Attock Refinery Limited (ARL), and Dr Javaid Iqbal, Principal SMME, NUST. Respected guests were Mr Ibrar Khan, Vice President Corporate & Economic Affairs at Jazz, and Mr Fahad Barlas, Vice President of the Rawalpindi Chamber of Commerce & Industry (RCCI).

Top officials from leading organizations attended, including Pakistan Ordnance Factories (POF), Heavy Industries Taxila (HIT), Kohinoor Textile Mills Limited, Kohinoor Maple Leaf Group Rawalpindi, LMKR, United International Technologies (UIT) (Pvt) Ltd, Tech Valley Pakistan, Quality Solutions, SHIBLI, Islamabad Diagnostic Centre (PVT) LTD, Trojans, Medsenso Private Limited, MRS Technologies , and Rapidev.

The roundtable was an influential platform for the exchange of knowledge among industry players, academia, and innovators. The focus was on developing engineering solutions, solving technological issues, and enhancing collaboration between the corporate world and institutions of learning. The event solidified the common understanding of advancing Pakistan’s engineering prowess through collaborative innovation and strategic interaction.
