The first high-level EU-Pakistan Business Forum has opened in Islamabad, bringing together policymakers, investors, and over 300 firms to strengthen trade and investment ties.
In an effort to improve economic cooperation between Pakistan and the EU, government officials, investors, diplomats, and business executives from both countries gathered in Islamabad on Tuesday for the inaugural high-level EU-Pakistan Business Forum.
The EU-Pakistan commercial Network, which comprises more than 300 European and Pakistani businesses operating in various sectors, was launched at the forum, which was organised by the EU in cooperation with Pakistan’s government and commercial institutions. The program seeks to increase business-to-business collaboration and open up new trade and investment opportunities.
The administration is concentrated on preserving macroeconomic stability and enacting measures to enhance the business environment, according to Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb, who spoke at the event.
European Union officials underlined the significance of sustained economic engagement and highlighted Pakistan’s potential as a developing market.
Investment, industrial cooperation, sustainability, connectivity, and technology-driven growth were the main topics of discussion throughout the summit. Business-to-business discussions and engagement sessions involving companies from both regions were also part of the event.
The event is a crucial venue for strengthening business relations and promoting future cooperation between European and Pakistani companies, as the EU continues to be Pakistan’s top export destination.
