The China-Pakistan High-Quality Agricultural Cooperation Development Forum took place in Islamabad on Thursday, bringing together key stakeholders to explore opportunities in agricultural collaboration under the China Pakistan Economic Corridor – CPEC framework. Organized by the China Chamber of Commerce in Pakistan (CCCPK), the event focused on deepening industrial ties and supporting the modernization of agriculture in both countries.

Throughout the forum, speakers highlighted the progress already achieved through joint efforts and shared their optimism for the future. Five thematic speeches covered areas such as contract farming of chili and sesame, hybrid double-zero canola development, buffalo breeding and dairy processing, modern storage solutions, and financial tools for agricultural growth.

A highlight of the forum was the release of A Typical Cases of China-Pakistan Agricultural Cooperation, along with the signing of several Memorandums of Understanding in areas like agri-livestock equipment, oil-feed integration, and canola cultivation.

The event served as both a showcase and a springboard, reinforcing the strength of bilateral ties in agriculture and laying the groundwork for future partnerships. Remarks were shared by Wang Huihua, President of CCCPK, alongside contributions from Amina Bajwa of FAO Pakistan, Ch. Waseem Ajmal of the Ministry of National Food Security and Research, Government of Pakistan, and Shi Yuanqiang of the Chinese Embassy.
