Zahanat AI, Pakistan’s first locally developed AI chatbot, has officially launched its beta version. Led by Mehwish Salman Ali, co-founder and CEO of Data Vault Pakistan, this AI platform is designed to provide culturally relevant solutions tailored to Pakistan’s needs.
Unlike other AI models, Zahanat AI operates from a dedicated data center in Karachi. This keeps all data within Pakistan, ensuring local processing and security. The chatbot runs on a mixed GPU system, initially using gaming GPUs to build computational power at a lower cost.
Trained on 2 billion parameters, Zahanat AI focuses on ethical AI practices by censoring sensitive topics and avoiding discussions about individuals. The beta launch is currently invite-only, allowing users to register and provide feedback before a full release.
Future plans include expanding to the Z2 model, which will support multiple languages spoken in Pakistan and introduce voice input. By developing AI solutions tailored to local challenges, Zahanat AI aims to transform sectors like education, healthcare, business, and governance.
