In response to the recent imposition of a 29% tariff on Pakistani exports by the United States, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has announced plans to dispatch a high-level delegation to Washington. The delegation, comprising key government officials, prominent business leaders, and exporters, aims to negotiate the reversal of these tariffs and explore avenues to strengthen bilateral trade relations.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has approved sending a high-level delegation to Washington to negotiate a reversal of a 29% U.S. tariff hike on Pakistani exports, which could cost the country up to $2.2 billion. Pakistan plans to offer tariff cuts on 55 U.S. products and address non-tariff concerns. Talks aim to secure fairer trade terms, with the Pakistani Embassy coordinating efforts.
