MCB Bank is deepening its cyber defenses with TrendAI and TechnoBIZ as Pakistan’s banks confront increasingly sophisticated digital threats.
MCB Bank Limited is reinforcing its cybersecurity infrastructure through a new collaboration with TrendAI, bringing advanced security capabilities into its digital ecosystem. The initiative, supported by system integrator TechnoBIZ, is focused on improving proactive threat detection, protecting sensitive information, and strengthening the bank’s overall cyber resilience.
The partnership comes as Pakistan’s financial institutions continue expanding digital services while confronting a rapidly changing cyber threat landscape. MCB Bank said the initiative forms part of its efforts to maintain a secure digital environment and preserve customer confidence as technology becomes increasingly central to banking.
Suman Siddiqui, Chief Information Security Officer at MCB Bank, highlighted the changing nature of cybersecurity and the need for financial institutions to predict threats rather than simply respond to them. She said cybersecurity has become “more proactive than reactive,” with stronger visibility, intelligence and preventive controls needed to keep pace with digital innovation. Umair Sheikh, Country Manager – TrendAI Pakistan, pointed to the growing risks facing financial institutions as cyberattacks become more sophisticated. He said, “Banks are among the most targeted organization’s globally,” adding that MCB Bank’s investment proves a commitment to stronger protection and resilience.
The collaboration combines MCB Bank’s security expertise with TrendAI’s AI-powered technologies and TechnoBIZ’s implementation capabilities. Together, the partners aim to help show threats earlier, improve visibility into potential risks and enable faster responses to emerging attacks.
The need for such capabilities is becoming more pronounced as cybercriminals adopt increasingly sophisticated tactics, including artificial intelligence. For banks, strengthening their ability to detect, assess and respond to threats is becoming an essential part of maintaining reliable digital services.
MCB Bank’s latest initiative reflects the wider investment taking place across Pakistan’s financial sector to strengthen digital security. As online banking continues to expand, institutions are placing greater emphasis on technologies and partnerships that can protect customer information and critical digital infrastructure.
