Muhammad Sohail Afridi has ordered all provincial ministers and advisers in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa to conduct monthly online open courts, allowing citizens to raise complaints directly with senior officials.
The directive, issued under the “Awam Ka Ehsaas” initiative, will be implemented across 23 provincial departments and 69 affiliated autonomous and semi-autonomous bodies. Administrative secretaries and field formations have been told to commence the digital sessions from March 1.
A preparatory session at the Chief Minister’s Secretariat will outline standard operating procedures to ensure departments follow a consistent approach.
Afridi described the programme as a cornerstone of his administration’s governance model, designed to enhance accessibility, ensure impartial handling of grievances and restore confidence in public institutions.
Departments will be required to address complaints within specified timeframes, while quarterly reviews will assess responsiveness and institutional performance.
Officials believe the structured digital engagement will shorten response times, highlight systemic gaps and strengthen accountability, making the provincial administration more accessible and solution-oriented for citizens across the province.
