October 2021, According to the official website of Punjab IT Board –

e-Pay Punjab has collected a staggering revenue of PKR 50 Billion+ against 10 Million+ transactions to date. e-Pay Punjab app has been downloaded 928,058 times enabling citizens to pay taxes online through a number of payment channels.

This is a significant development considering the current clout over various perspectives on tax collections and the vision of #DigitalPakistan from the government. This also shows the willingness and appetite of the public to embrace digital solutions in their day to day lives.

It will not be wrong to say that such numbers show that the country’s taxation system is heading in the right direction with more individuals coming under tax net particularly because of the ease that digitization provides.
