BankIslami is strengthening its digital defenses through a new cybersecurity partnership with Resecurity aimed at improving threat detection and customer data protection.
BankIslami has signed a cybersecurity partnership with Resecurity as part of its efforts to reinforce the security of its digital banking ecosystem. The collaboration will introduce advanced monitoring and intelligence capabilities designed to help the bank identify online threats, data exposure risks, and malicious activity targeting its operations.
Through Resecurity’s Digital Risk Monitoring and Cyber Threat Intelligence services, BankIslami will gain broader visibility into the external threat landscape. The tools are intended to help security teams detect potential risks earlier and respond before they can disrupt services or affect customers.
The agreement was formalized during a signing ceremony held at the bank’s Karachi headquarters. Senior executives from both organizations attended the event, underscoring the importance of cybersecurity as financial institutions continue to expand their digital offerings.
Commenting on the partnership, BankIslami President and CEO Rizwan Ata emphasized the institution’s focus on customer protection. “At BankIslami, our highest priority is to uphold our customers’ trust by safeguarding their interests,” he said. He noted that the collaboration supports the bank’s strategy of adopting internationally recognized security practices while providing customers with a dependable banking experience.
The initiative also reflects BankIslami’s continued investment in digital transformation. As online banking adoption accelerates, the institution is working to strengthen its technological infrastructure while ensuring customer information remains protected against evolving cyber risks.
With cyber threats becoming increasingly sophisticated, financial organizations are placing greater emphasis on proactive security measures. BankIslami’s latest move highlights its commitment to enhancing resilience, supporting innovation, and contributing to a safer digital banking environment in Pakistan.
