Alibaba Cloud and Alkhidmat join forces to train Pakistani youth in AI and cloud computing, launching centers and hackathons to boost digital skills nationwide.
Alibaba Cloud and Alkhidmat Foundation Pakistan have formalized a partnership to enhance artificial intelligence (AI) and cloud computing education across the country.
The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), signed in Islamabad by Hank Shao and Naveed Ali Baig, outlines plans to establish dedicated Alibaba Cloud Training Centers under Alkhidmat’s “Bano Qabil” platform.
Two centers will be launched initially—one in Karachi and another in Lahore—offering globally recognized certification pathways in AI and cloud technologies. The initiative is supported by Cognix Solutions Private Limited, Alibaba Cloud’s authorized partner in Pakistan.
As part of the agreement, Alibaba Cloud will also train faculty members to maintain international teaching standards and keep pace with technological advancements.
The collaboration will further feature recurring AI hackathons themed “AI for Pakistan’s Future,” encouraging youth to develop innovative solutions for national challenges.
With over 1.15 million registered students and 90,000 graduates, the Bano Qabil platform continues to expand its reach. The non-commercial partnership aims to strengthen digital skills, improve employability, and contribute to Pakistan’s growing digital economy.
