Air Link has launched AirV with 11 electric bike models across six series, offering claimed ranges of up to 200km as Pakistan’s electric mobility market gains another major player.
Air Link Communication Limited has officially entered Pakistan’s electric mobility market with the launch of AirV, its new electric bike brand, in Lahore on November 4, 2026. The company has introduced 11 models across six series, with claimed ranges of up to 200 kilometers depending on the variant.
The launch marks a significant expansion for Air Link, which has established its presence in Pakistan’s smartphone manufacturing, distribution and retail sector. Through AirV, the company aims to diversify its business while tapping into growing demand for alternatives to conventional petrol-powered motorcycles.
According to the company’s disclosure to the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), the electric bikes will feature several technology-based additions, including cruise control, regenerative battery technology, Near Field Communication (NFC) functionality and anti-theft systems. These features are intended to offer greater convenience, energy efficiency and security for riders.
The claimed 200km range is among the lineup’s biggest selling points, although the figure varies by model. Actual performance will depend on factors such as riding speed, road conditions, passenger load and battery usage.
The AirV project is being implemented at Air Link’s manufacturing facility in the Sundar Green Special Economic Zone (SGSEZ), Lahore. The company plans to utilise its existing manufacturing infrastructure and nationwide distribution network to establish a scalable electric mobility business serving individual consumers and enterprise customers.
The development follows Air Link’s July 23, 2026 announcement regarding approval of its electric bike manufacturing project under its own brand. Earlier reports indicated that management intended to initially source bikes from international partners before gradually expanding local assembly and manufacturing.
Those reports also outlined a long-term target of achieving up to 95% localisation, with replaceable lithium-ion batteries initially being procured locally. The strategy reflects a phased approach towards building domestic manufacturing capabilities rather than relying entirely on imported components.
However, several important details remain undisclosed. Air Link has yet to publish complete model-wise specifications, retail prices, battery capacities, charging times, warranty conditions and replacement battery costs.
Delivery schedules and service arrangements will also be important considerations for prospective buyers. While the claimed range and technology features make AirV a notable addition to the market, affordability, after-sales support and spare-parts availability will ultimately influence consumer adoption.
Air Link’s entry adds another established corporate player to Pakistan’s increasingly competitive electric two-wheeler industry. Its existing distribution network could provide an advantage, but the company will need to demonstrate that it can deliver reliable servicing and long-term ownership support alongside its new products.
For now, AirV’s 11-model debut signals a serious push into electric mobility, with pricing and complete specifications likely to determine how strongly the lineup competes against existing electric bike brands.
