TikTok, in partnership with Pakistan’s Ministry of IT and Telecom Pakistan and the Ministry of Federal Education and Professional Training, has launched a dedicated STEM feed in Pakistan. This in‑app content experience curates high‑quality content from science, technology, engineering and mathematics tailored especially for students, teachers and young professionals.
Digital education receives a boost with TikTok’s training programs partnered with top educational institutions across the country. These programs empower teachers and solo creators through strengthening Pakistan’s STEM creator base with assistance in English, Urdu and local languages.
Minister Shaza Khawaja highlights this initiative’s alignment with the vision of Pakistan to democratise knowledge through digital platforms, empowering youth, including prospective female students, to pursue STEM professions. State Minister Wajiha Qamar appreciates the initiative as a step to make science and technology palatable and accessible to Pakistani youth.
Fahad Muhammad Khan Niazi, Head of Public Policy and Government Relations for TikTok in Pakistan, points out that the launch marks the commitment of TikTok to investing in future talent through creative learning. Through TikTok’s #STEMTok hashtag and a specially created landing page, this immensely popular platform is looking to ignite critical thinking, drive innovation, and make learning STEM fun, accessible and discoverable throughout Pakistan.
