At the 32nd Apex Committee meeting, the Chief Minister of Sindh announced a new unit within the Government of Sindh Home Department to address complaints related to social media misuse. This unit will work with federal bodies, including Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) – Federal Government of Pakistan (FIA), Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA), and the provincial police.

The meeting, held at CM House, was attended by Pakistan Rangers, Sindh Police, and other key officials. The Chief Minister showed concern over rising road accidents and the recent arson of tankers and dumpers. He directed Sindh Police to enforce traffic laws and arrest those involved in these incidents.

The Home Department proposed the Sindh Centre for Excellence on Countering Violent Extremism Act, 2025. CM Shah instructed that the draft law be presented in the next cabinet meeting. He stressed zero tolerance for militants and the need for stronger counterterrorism efforts.

Officials also reported that 29,926 illegal foreigners were identified in the province. Of these, 479 have been repatriated, and around 400 remain in a deportation camp. CM Shah confirmed the repatriation follows the federal government’s policy.

Security measures for Chinese workers in the province were also reviewed, with various agencies providing protection as part of ongoing safety efforts.
