Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif laid the foundation of the Shaheen Chowk Underpass, marking another milestone in his vision to modernize Islamabad. He emphasized that every development project from underpasses to major road expansions is designed to bring real convenience to citizens by saving time, reducing fuel consumption, and improving daily commutes.
The Prime Minister noted that Islamabad’s development goes beyond roads and infrastructure it’s about reshaping the city into a vibrant, globally recognized capital that reflects Pakistan’s aspirations for growth and modernization. With projects like the Margalla Road and 11th Avenue underway, the government is striving to ensure that Islamabad stands as a model of urban planning and livability.
These efforts are also aligned with preparations for the upcoming Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) Summit, which will place Islamabad in the international spotlight. The government’s vision is to present a capital city that embodies progress, sustainability, and the welcoming spirit of Pakistan one that both residents and visitors can be proud of.
