Ahsan Iqbal Chaudhary, Federal Minister for Planning, Development & Special Initiatives, recently attended the ZTE Exhibition Center in Beijing to support Pakistan’s effort to strengthen it’s digital economy. He encouraged ZTE which is one of the leading ICT companies in China to collaborate with Pakistani institutions through empowering youth, mutual collaborations and innovation and tech-driven training programs during his visit.

The Minister emphasized Pakistan’s vision of becoming a front-runner E-Economy by investing in frontier technologies and cultivating homegrown expertise. Among the key initiatives the Minister emphasized to establish Advanced Research & Training Centers for Artificial Intelligence, Auto-Robotics, Nano Technology, Big Data, and Cloud Computing, which are expected to provide young engineers with the skills they would need in this digital era.

This future cooperation has strong focus on the 5Es strategy especially on E-Governance, Export-led growth, Entrepreneurship, and Energy. Hosting global tech leaders such as ZTE is a demonstration of Pakistan’s embrace of inclusive, tech-enabled development and its aspiration to become a youth-led hub for digital innovation.
