Both Pakistan and China are committed to further enhancing the economic partnership through new initiatives of trade and investment. In this regard, the meeting between the Pakistan Chemicals & Dyes Merchants Association, headed by Chairman Salim Valimuhammad, and the Consul General of China in Karachi, Yang Yundong, explored the possibilities of increased cooperation within the framework of the Pakistan-China FTA.

Main proposals included the addition of more product categories, especially in the chemicals and dyes sectors, and priority visas for PCDMA members to facilitate smoother business exchange. The meeting has also discussed arranging a China Solo Exhibition in Karachi to provide an opportunity to Chinese firms for showcasing various products and forging partnerships with local industries.

Besides, plans were shared for the holding of a China Investment Summit to attract Chinese investors to Pakistan’s budding industrial sectors. Consul General Yang Yundong welcomed these ideas and pledged full support from China. Both sides committed to increasing trade volume and deepening cooperation, marking a new chapter in Pakistan-China industrial collaboration.
