Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi inaugurated two major tech-driven public safety initiatives at the Islamabad Safe City Headquarters, the Online Women’s Police Station and the One Info App. These new platforms aim to make law enforcement more accessible, responsive, and citizen-friendly, especially for women and vulnerable communities.
During his visit, Minister Naqvi reviewed the digital surveillance systems in place and stressed the importance of using technology and artificial intelligence (AI) in modern policing. In his words, smarter policing isn’t just a goal, it’s a national necessity.
He also emphasized the need for stronger collaboration between all Safe City projects across the country. A more connected and coordinated security network, he noted, will allow faster response and better protection for citizens.Naqvi directed authorities to develop user-friendly online platforms that empower citizens to report issues and get help without unnecessary delays. While the technology may be cutting-edge, the goal remains simple: make Pakistan safer, smarter, and more inclusive. One app (and one online police station) at a time.
