
Meezan Bank Limited has appointed Dr. Syed Amir Ali as its new President and Chief Executive Officer, effective December 30, 2025. He succeeds founding CEO Irfan Siddiqui, who will continue serving on the Board of Directors.

Meezan Bank Limited has announced that Dr. Syed Amir Ali will assume the role of President and Chief Executive Officer from December 30, 2025. He takes over from Irfan Siddiqui, the founding CEO, who has led the bank since its establishment and will remain on the Board of Directors.
In its notification to the Pakistan Stock Exchange, the Board of Directors acknowledged Siddiqui’s contributions, describing his leadership as pivotal in positioning Meezan Bank at the forefront of Islamic banking in Pakistan. His efforts were credited with laying the groundwork for the sector’s expansion and driving the bank’s growth over the years.
The Board welcomed Dr. Ali’s appointment, noting that his leadership marks the beginning of a new chapter for the institution. The statement highlighted expectations that he will build on Siddiqui’s legacy while guiding the bank toward further innovation and expansion.
