Karandaaz Pakistan has partnered with VIZPRO Pvt. Ltd. to digitize retailer-to-distributor payments, aiming to enhance financial inclusion and support small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in Pakistan. This collaboration, part of Karandaaz’s “Pilot to Scale” program, focuses on streamlining digital transactions within the Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) sector by introducing Raast IDs for merchants and exploring merchant lending frameworks.
The initiative will initially launch in Lahore, with plans to expand nationwide, leveraging Vizpro’s expertise in digital payment systems and existing merchant relationships to promote a cashless retail supply chain. This partnership aims to tackle persistent inefficiencies in Pakistan’s FMCG retail sector by minimizing dependence on cash transactions and enabling small and medium-sized merchants to access formal financial services. The initiative focuses on creating digital financial identities for unbanked retailers, integrating payment and credit solutions, and promoting increased resilience, transparency, and growth throughout the retail supply chain.
Vizpro, via its Vizlink platform, has digitized PKR 5 billion in merchant-to-distributor payments and onboarded over 13,000 merchants in Lahore, while partnering with key financial players like easypaisa digital bank, JazzCash, and CreditBook. With Karandaaz’s backing, Vizpro aims to expand to 16,000 more FMCG retailers across Punjab and Karachi. The platform offers a unified ecosystem for order placement, digital payments, and working capital access, now enhanced with Raast QR integration to enable instant customer payments. This initiative supports financial inclusion, reduces reliance on cash, and drives scalable fintech-led transformation in Pakistan’s retail sector.
