JazzCash customers can now add their debit cards to Google Wallet, making tap-to-pay transactions more convenient and secure. With over 13 million monthly active users, this integration allows customers to use their smartphones for seamless in-store payments.
This step further expands JazzCash’s payment options, which already include QR payments, tap-to-pay services, online payments, and debit cards. Customers can link one of three debit cards: the Mastercard Debit Card, the Women’s Debit Card, or the Virtual Debit Card. The virtual card can be set up instantly within the JazzCash app, while physical cards can be ordered through the app or USSD for a one-time fee.
Aamir Aftab, Chief Product Officer at JazzCash, emphasized the importance of this partnership, stating that as Pakistan’s leading fintech platform, JazzCash is committed to financial inclusion through innovation. He highlighted that working with Google Wallet helps create an open and secure digital payments ecosystem, contributing to a cashless economy.
Adding a JazzCash debit card to Google Wallet is quick and simple. Once linked, users can make payments by unlocking their phone and tapping it at a payment terminal. With tokenization technology and additional security features like ‘Find My Device,’ Google Wallet ensures safe and reliable transactions.
