The Ministry of IT and Telecommunication Pakistan has unveiled two major initiatives to support Pakistan’s growing startup ecosystem: the Prime Minister’s Cloud Enablement Program for Startups and the Pakistan Startup Fund. Both programs were launched by Ignite – National Technology Fund under the leadership of Federal Minister Shaza Khawaja.
Addressing the event, the minister said these initiatives will help startups access essential infrastructure, funding, and mentorship to scale their businesses. She also reaffirmed the government’s commitment to building a supportive environment for youth-led innovation and global competitiveness.
The Cloud Enablement Program will provide startups with access to cloud services from providers like Amazon Web Services (AWS), Google Cloud, Microsoft Azure, and Huawei Cloud. Meanwhile, the Pakistan Startup Fund will bridge early stage funding gaps by offering equity-free grants and supporting venture capital investment.
Additionally, BridgeStart Pakistan will connect local startups with global accelerators, offering mentorship and international exposure. These initiatives collectively strengthen Pakistan’s position as a regional hub for innovation and entrepreneurship.
