Elon Musk confirmed that he has no plans to buy TikTok. Speaking at a #summit hosted by Axel Springer, he stated, “I have not put in a bid for TikTok.” This comes after former U.S. President Donald Trump suggested Musk could #purchase the #app.

Musk emphasized that he rarely acquires companies, calling his X acquisition an exception. He also noted that he does not use TikTok and is unfamiliar with its format.

Meanwhile, ByteDance faces pressure from the U.S. government to sell TikTok’s U.S. assets due to national security concerns. #Lawmakers worry that China could compel ByteDance to share #American user data, a claim #TikTok denies.

Amid the uncertainty, Apple and Google have yet to reinstate TikTok in their app stores. In response, TikTok has enabled U.S. #Android users to download the app directly from its website.

Trump, who previously sought to ban TikTok, now acknowledges its #influence among young voters. He has hinted at ongoing discussions regarding its #sale. ByteDance, however, has denied any plans to sell.
