Bookme, Pakistan’s leading e-ticketing platform, has announced a strategic alliance with resal, a prominent Saudi rewards platform, as part of its ambitious expansion into the Saudi market. Through this deal, Bookme becomes Resal’s official ticketing technology provider, enabling users to redeem loyalty points for tickets to flights, hotels, concerts, and other entertainment options in real time. This marks a significant milestone in Bookme’s cross border ventures as the startup seeks to scale its presence in one of the region’s fastest growing digital economies.
Founded in 2013, Bookme has established itself firmly in Pakistan with over 15 million registered users, partnerships with around 30 banks, and more than 80 million processed bookings to date. In Saudi Arabia, the company already collaborates with Mrsool, the Saudi Tourism Authority, and the low-cost airline flyadeal, from which it targets 20 million US dollars in annual revenue. Resal brings an existing base of over 2.5 million customers, so even capturing just 10 percent of that audience could more than double Bookme’s current Saudi user base of 450,000.
Beyond expanding its user base, Bookme is leveraging this partnership to introduce innovative features in Saudi Arabia. Users will be able to consolidate loyalty points from various programs to redeem tickets for global travel and events, a first in the Kingdom. The integration relies on secure API technology for real time ticket inventory visibility and supports both Arabic and English languages. As Bookme strengthens its foothold, the company is also awaiting regulatory approval from the Saudi Central Bank, paving the way for potential tie ups with regional banks and financial institutions.
