Changpeng Zhao (CZ), founder of Binance, has been appointed as a strategic adviser to the Pakistan Crypto Council (PCC), a body established in March 2025 to oversee the integration of blockchain technology and digital assets into Pakistan’s financial system.
Changpeng Zhao (CZ), founder of Binance, has been appointed as Strategic Advisor to the Pakistan Crypto Council (PCC). The announcement was made during a high-level meeting led by Finance Minister Senator Muhammad Aurangzeb and attended by key government officials. CZ also met with the Prime Minister and Deputy Prime Minister, highlighting Pakistan’s commitment to blockchain innovation.
As advisor, CZ will help develop regulatory frameworks, infrastructure, education, and adoption strategies for cryptocurrency in Pakistan. Officials see this as a significant step toward positioning the country as a regional leader in Web3 and digital finance, aligning it with global innovation hubs like Singapore and Dubai. CZ emphasized Pakistan’s vast potential, especially given its large, youthful population.
