Binance Charity, the philanthropic arm of global blockchain giant Binance, has pledged $150,000 to Alkhidmat Foundation Pakistan to support flood relief efforts in Pakistan. The donation comes in response to the devastating September floods that severely impacted Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Punjab provinces.
The funds will be used to provide essential aid including food, hygiene kits, clean water, tents, tarpaulins, and dignity kits to affected communities. Binance Charity emphasized the importance of swift and transparent assistance, highlighting how blockchain technology enables rapid fund transfers during crises.
Humza Khan from Binance MENA stated, “In times like these, it is crucial that communities and organizations come together to support those most in need.” Shoaib Hashmi of Alkhidmat Foundation expressed gratitude, noting that the partnership will help deliver timely relief and rebuild lives.
Bilal Bin Saqib MBE, Chairman of Pakistan Virtual Assets Regulatory Authority, praised the role of crypto in humanitarian aid, calling it a “force for humanity” in urgent situations.
Alkhidmat Foundation has also launched an open fundraiser for additional support. Binance Charity continues to lead innovative efforts in global philanthropy, using blockchain to bridge gaps between donors and disaster-stricken communities.
