Federal Minister for Planning, Development and Special Initiatives Ahsan Iqbal visited the newly established regional headquarters of China Energy Engineering Corporation (CEEC) in Pakistan, where he also formally inaugurated the facility.
The minister was welcomed by CEEC Managing Director Wang Hui Hua, Senior Advisor Hassan Daud Butt, and other senior representatives of the company.
During the visit, CEEC officials briefed the minister on the company’s ongoing role in projects under the China–Pakistan Economic Corridor, particularly the Suki Kinari Hydropower Project and the Azad Pattan Hydropower Project. The company highlighted its involvement in several power generation initiatives supporting Pakistan’s energy supply and long-term development.
Wang noted that the establishment of the regional headquarters, fully developed by CEEC, reflects the company’s long-term commitment to Pakistan and its confidence in future collaboration.
Iqbal appreciated the company’s continued engagement in Pakistan’s energy sector and highlighted the importance of cooperation between the two countries as they commemorate 75 years of diplomatic ties and more than a decade of CPEC collaboration.
