
DIB Pakistan has partnered with Systems Limited to implement the Temenos Transact cloud-native core banking platform, marking a major step in the bank’s digital transformation and modernization strategy.
DIB Pakistan has signed a Core Banking System (CBS) implementation agreement with Systems Limited to modernise its banking infrastructure by migrating from Oracle Flexcube to the Temenos Transact cloud-native platform. The project represents one of the bank’s most significant technology investments and is aimed at enhancing customer experience, operational efficiency and long-term digital growth.
According to Fintech News Pakistan and Systems Limited, Systems Limited will lead the implementation as a certified Temenos partner, supporting DIB Pakistan’s transition to a modern cloud-native core banking platform.
The bank described the initiative as “a landmark milestone in DIB Pakistan’s strategic journey to modernise its banking platform.” By adopting Temenos’ technology, DIB Pakistan aims to transform the way it delivers financial services while strengthening operational resilience and scalability.
Commenting on the agreement, DIB Pakistan CEO Muhammad Ali Gulfaraz said, “DIB aims to deploy cutting edge technology to enable convenient, fast and effective solutions designed to deliver an outstanding experience for our customers.” He added, “By signing this partnership with Systems Limited we are taking the first big step on this journey to leverage Temenos’ market leading technology.”
Gulfaraz further noted, “The CBS transformation is a great step forward. Partnering with Systems Limited positions us to deliver a truly modern, digital-first banking experience for our customers, underpinned by Temenos technology, robust compliance, and the scalability to support our growth ambitions.”
Temenos Managing Director for the Middle East and Africa, Santhosh Rao, welcomed the partnership, saying, “We’re delighted to build on our existing relationship with DIB Pakistan to support its core banking modernization in Pakistan.” He added that Temenos’ “cloud-native, composable platform and broad functionality” will help the bank serve customers “with greater speed, security and efficiency.”

DIB Pakistan Chief Operating Officer Syed Farhan Ahmed described the initiative as “a defining moment for DIB Pakistan,” stating that “Temenos Transact Core gives us the operational backbone to streamline processes, enhance customer experiences, and build the resilience needed to scale confidently.”
Chief Information Officer Imran Ali Khan Soomro also emphasised the long-term technology vision, saying, “Temenos is a Global Leader in Core Banking Systems providing innovative solutions, and we are delighted to bring its full capabilities to DIB Pakistan.” He added that the implementation would “accelerate the bank’s digital & AI ambitions and unlock new opportunities for growth.”
Temenos Chief Revenue Officer William Moroney said the modernisation programme would “yield significant operational and strategic advantages,” enabling the bank to accelerate digital transformation while enhancing “stability, security, efficiency, and regulatory compliance.” He added that the partnership is “laying the foundation for the Bank’s next chapter of growth and innovation.”
The implementation reflects DIB Pakistan’s continued investment in digital banking and demonstrates the growing role of cloud-native technologies in Pakistan’s financial sector. The partnership with Systems Limited and Temenos is expected to strengthen the bank’s operational capabilities while supporting innovation, regulatory compliance and an improved customer experience.
