Mobilink Bank has launched the BiBi App, a bilingual breast cancer awareness platform designed to improve women’s access to reliable health information across Pakistan.
Mobilink Bank has introduced the “BiBi App,” a digital platform focused on breast cancer awareness and women’s health education in Pakistan.
The application was developed by Aangan, a women-led health startup supported through Mobilink Bank’s Women Inspirational Network (WIN) Incubator. Available in Urdu and English, the platform is designed to help women access easy-to-understand information related to breast cancer awareness, prevention, and early detection.
The launch ceremony in Islamabad was attended by diplomats, healthcare professionals, policymakers, development sector representatives, and industry leaders, reflecting growing attention toward women’s health awareness initiatives in Pakistan.
According to medical experts, breast cancer remains one of the most common cancers affecting women in the country, while delayed diagnosis and lack of awareness continue to create major health challenges. Mobilink Bank said the app was created to address information gaps, particularly in communities where access to health awareness resources remains limited.
The bank stated that all health-related content available on the platform has been reviewed by Shifa International Hospital to ensure reliability and accuracy.
Speaking at the event, Mobilink Bank President and CEO Haaris Mahmood Chaudhary said meaningful empowerment extends beyond financial access and also includes access to knowledge and healthcare awareness.
“True empowerment begins with access, not just to finance, but to knowledge, care, and the enablement to make informed decisions,” he said.
He added that the BiBi App uses digital technology to make critical health information more accessible for women in a practical and culturally relevant format.
The initiative represents Mobilink Bank’s first dedicated health-tech collaboration focused specifically on breast cancer awareness. The bank said the project aligns with its broader efforts to support women-led entrepreneurship and socially impactful digital solutions.
Through its WIN Incubator program, Mobilink Bank has supported multiple women-led startups operating in different sectors. The bank recently expanded its innovation initiatives further through the National Incubation Centre in Sialkot, aimed at strengthening entrepreneurship and technology development in Pakistan.
Officials said the BiBi App is expected to contribute toward improving health literacy and encouraging conversations around early detection and preventive healthcare among women across the country.
