Telenor Pakistan has partnered with Ayub Agricultural Research Institute (AARI), Faisalabad, to digitally transform Punjab’s agriculture sector. A Letter of Intent was signed at Telenor’s Islamabad headquarters by Ahsan Maykan, Chief Marketing Officer, and Dr. Sajid-Ur-Rahman, DG and Chief Scientist at AARI. The collaboration integrates AARI’s research into Telenor’s digital platforms — Khushal Watan and Khushal Zamindar — reaching millions of farmers with timely, research-based crop advisories.

These platforms aim to promote climate-smart farming, boost productivity, and enhance knowledge exchange between scientists and farmers. Ahsan Maykan emphasized the fusion of technology and research as key to agricultural progress, while Dr. Sajid-Ur-Rahman highlighted the importance of translating research into practical benefits.

This initiative marks a major step toward sustainable agriculture, food security, and economic resilience in Pakistan. By bridging the gap between research and practice, the partnership seeks to empower farmers and drive long-term growth across Punjab’s agricultural value chain.
