Nexus and Renewables First Unite to Boost Pakistan’s Climate Tech

Renewables First , a prominent Pakistani think tank focused on energy and the environment, has partnered with New Energy Nexus , a global nonprofit supporting clean energy entrepreneurs, to launch Climate Innovation Pakistan (CLIP). This initiative aims to accelerate the country’s climate tech ecosystem by fostering innovation, entrepreneurship, and workforce development in clean energy sectors.   Renewables First and New Energy Nexus have launched Climate Innovation Pakistan (CLIP), the country’s first national platform dedicated to accelerating climate tech innovation. The initiative includes a Climate Tech Incubator for startups and a New Energy Academy to upskill the solar workforce. The launch event featured endorsements from key industry leaders and showcased a whitepaper outlining Pakistan’s climate tech potential. Panelists emphasized the need for impact investment, customized incubator models, stronger public-private collaboration, and better alignment between academia and industry. The discussion also highlighted funding challenges, the need for institutional adaptation, and the untapped potential of women-led climate ventures.
