The federal government is beginning consultations with provinces and stakeholders to launch its “Uraan Pakistan” initiative which is essentially a blueprint for economic growth, education reforms, and industrial expansion. The inaugural workshop is set for Monday, February 24 in Karachi.

Prominent figures including Planning Minister Ahsan Iqbal Chaudhary, Sindh CM Murad Ali Shah, and Finance Minister Nasir Hussain Shah will lead the session. Also in the mix will be higher education and development experts, provincial ministers, media reps, and business leaders, practically everyone with a stake in the country’s future.

The agenda is to set up working groups to fine-tune policies and ensure federal-provincial coordination. Their proposals will be wrapped into a joint communiqué by the end of the workshop.

Post-session, Iqbal and Shah will face the press to break down the key takeaways, Sindh’s role, and what’s next. The meeting will mark the first step towards executing “Uraan Pakistan” beyond an idea into an action plan.
