                      CDWP Approves 14 Projects, Refers Satellite Plan

                      Ministry of Planning Development and Special Initiatives (CDWP) approved 14 projects worth Rs49.31 billion and referred a Rs19.96 billion satellite project to The Executive Committee of the National Economic Council (ECNEC).

                      In the energy sector, CDWP approved the supply of gas to 81 villages in Sindh and Balochistan. The Rs1.566 billion project will install 192.96 km of pipelines, reaching 2,934 households.

                      For media, three initiatives received approval. A Rs2.998 billion media archive will preserve content. A Rs902.95 million project will upgrade medium-wave radio in Khairpur. A Rs1.396 billion unit will improve media monitoring.

                      CDWP also approved a Rs7.404 billion project for Karachi Industrial Park on Pakistan Steel Mills land.

                      In education, two Danish Schools will be built in Bagh and Baltistan for Rs6.016 billion. Higher Education Commission’s Rs2.929 billion project will upgrade Bannu University. A Rs1.85 billion National Center for Brand Development will promote industrial innovation.

                      CDWP urged ECNEC to approve Pakistan Space and Upper Atmosphere Research Comission (SUPARCO), Pakistan Optical Remote Sensing Satellite to support agriculture, urban planning, and security.
