Zindigi and DAT AI Systems have signed an MoU to develop digital payment, identity and financial solutions for institutions across Pakistan.
Zindigi, the digital banking platform operated by JS Bank, has entered into a new collaboration with technology company DAT AI Systems to explore digital solutions aimed at institutions and organisations across Pakistan.
The companies formalised the partnership by signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). Rao Umer Farooq, Head of International Business & Alliances at Zindigi, and Abubakar Umer, Chief Executive Officer of DAT AI Systems, signed the agreement on behalf of their respective organisations.
The partnership will focus on identifying and developing technology-driven solutions for government bodies, educational institutions, companies and other organisations. The proposed areas of cooperation include digital payments, identity management, fee collection, account and wallet services, fund disbursement and institutional processes.
Through the arrangement, Zindigi will contribute its digital banking and payments infrastructure, while DAT AI Systems will bring its expertise in technology and digital systems. The companies intend to assess how these capabilities can be combined to address operational and financial requirements within institutions.
Rao Umer Farooq said greater integration between financial services and technology would be important to Pakistan’s continuing digital development.
“Pakistan’s next phase of digital transformation will be shaped by solutions that seamlessly connect technology, identity and financial services,” he said. He added that working with DAT AI Systems would allow the companies to pursue solutions focused on the changing requirements of institutions and their customers.
Abubakar Umer said the agreement brings together capabilities from both sides that could be used to develop technology suited to Pakistan’s market.
“Our collaboration with Zindigi brings together complementary strengths in technology and financial infrastructure,” he said, adding that the companies see scope for developing scalable solutions based on local requirements.
Founded in 2023, DAT AI Systems is a Pakistani technology company that develops artificial intelligence and messaging-based systems for areas such as workforce management, data gathering and real-time operational monitoring. Its technology has been deployed in major public-sector initiatives in Pakistan.
The companies said their cooperation will examine ways of linking financial services with institutional technology systems, potentially allowing organisations to manage multiple functions through more integrated digital processes.
The agreement also reflects the broader push towards digitisation in Pakistan, where financial technology and technology providers are increasingly working together to modernise how organisations manage payments, collections, disbursements and other services.
Zindigi and DAT AI Systems will now explore potential projects and solutions under the framework established through the MoU.
