United Bank Limited has launched a new Voice Command feature inside the UBL Digital App, allowing customers to carry out everyday banking tasks by speaking instead of typing.
The feature works through a microphone icon inside the app. Users speak a command, review the details shown on screen, and confirm the action before completion. Customers can transfer funds, pay utility bills, top up mobile balances, and check account statements using voice commands.
One of the main highlights is dual language support. Customers can give commands in English or Urdu, and the app shows confirmations in the same language spoken. UBL says this makes the experience faster and easier to use for a wider range of customers.
The process is designed to remain simple. Users open the app, tap the microphone, and speak their request, such as transferring funds, paying bills, topping up their mobile, or checking their account statement. Each transaction is completed after final verification, with customer confirmation remaining a key step before any action is carried out.
The Voice Command feature is powered by Fortanixor Technologies as part of its voice and digital interaction stack.
UBL has positioned this launch as a first of its kind in Pakistan. The bank says voice-led banking can help reduce barriers by supporting seniors, first-time digital users, and customers with visual or literacy challenges. The feature is now available through the UBL Digital App, along with official usage guidance.
