Federal Minister for IT and Telecom Shaza Khawaja inaugurated Pakistan’s Tech Destination Pavilion at GITEX Global 2025 in Dubai on Monday. The ceremony brought together: Additional Secretary Ministry of IT and Telecom and CEO Ignite, Faisal Tirmizi, Ambassador of Pakistan to UAE, Brigadier Nadir, representatives from Special Investment Facilitation Council, CEO of Pakistan Software Export Board (PSEB), Abu Bakar, CEO National Information Technology Board, Faisal Iqbal Ratyal, and Chairman Pakistan IT Industry Association (P@SHA), Sajjad Syed.
The pavilion featured over 20 leading Pakistani IT and tech companies showcasing digital solutions to international investors and global media. The Ministry supported 10 promising startups to participate in the event. Shaza Fatima Khawaja emphasized Pakistan’s growing global technology footprint under Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s leadership, highlighting the nation’s young skilled workforce and expanding IT exports.
The pavilion served as a hub for business meetings, investment networking, partnership announcements, and startup showcases, following Pakistan’s previous recognition as Tech Destination of the Year at GITEX Global 2024.
