The Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) regulates Pakistan’s telecom sector, ensuring compliance, fair competition, and consumer protection. It oversees licensing, internet services, mobile networks, and cybersecurity, while also managing spectrum allocation and digital infrastructure development.

The PTA has granted Class Licenses to two companies for VPN services, allowing businesses to use VPNs lawfully while maintaining data security, privacy, and regulatory compliance. PTA remains committed to responsibly supporting organizations’ connectivity requirements. VPNs establish secure, encrypted connections, enabling anonymous browsing, access to restricted content, and protection against surveillance and cyber threats.
