PayFast, a State Bank-licensed fintech in Pakistan, has officially rolled out Google Pay support across its merchant network. As the first payment gateway in the country to integrate with Google Pay, PayFast now enables over 5,000 merchants to offer seamless, secure, and frictionless digital transactions. This milestone enhances the checkout experience by allowing customers to complete purchases without manually entering card details, significantly speeding up the process.
Consumers now benefit from a streamlined payment flow: they can store their payment methods within Google Pay and make quick, authenticated transactions via PayFast-powered e-commerce platforms. The integration also ties into Google Wallet, offering a unified interface for managing cards, bank accounts, and digital receipts all from a single app. Additionally, users can conveniently pay bills and conduct transactions directly from their smartphones
PayFast’s leadership highlights the significance of this advancement in Pakistan’s digital finance landscape. CEO Adnan Ali calls the partnership a “major step” toward simplifying digital transactions, while Premier Systems (Pvt.) Ltd. Chairman S. Arshad Raza views it as ushering in a new era of convenience and security. The company has made enabling Google Pay easy for merchants via their existing payment setup. Currently serving more than 7,000 businesses representing over half of Pakistan’s online retailers PayFast’s Google Pay integration firmly reinforces its position as a national fintech leader driving financial inclusion.
