The Ministry of IT and Telecommunication Pakistan has concluded a productive visit to Saudi Arabia, strengthening ties in cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, and digital infrastructure. At the Global Cybersecurity Forum in Riyadh, Federal Minister Shaza Khawaja highlighted Pakistan’s commitment to building a secure and trusted digital future under Digital Nation Pakistan. In her session on “Next-Gen Cyber Resilience,” she emphasized that cybersecurity should not only be about defense but also about enabling trust and collaboration in the digital economy.
During her visit, the minister held several high-level meetings. With the Governor of Saudi Arabia’s National Cybersecurity Authority, she discussed capacity building and best practices. In her meeting with the CEO of SDAIA | سدايا, Pakistan welcomed the offer of 100 training seats for Pakistani women in AI programs, supporting women in technology. Talks with GO Telecom – قو للاتصالات focused on expanding broadband connectivity and exploring cross-border digital corridors, while discussions with stc centered on partnerships in cybersecurity and digital platforms.
These engagements reflect Pakistan’s proactive approach to international cooperation, ensuring inclusive and secure progress toward its digital goals.
