National Bank of Pakistan (NBP) has partnered with ISTIQEME to deploy QR based payment solutions and strengthen Pakistan’s digital payments ecosystem.
To increase the use of digital payments throughout Pakistan, National Bank of Pakistan (NBP) and ISTIQEME have partnered strategically.
Through operational support and training programs, the partnership seeks to bolster the nation’s digital payments infrastructure with a focus on merchant QR code deployment.
In accordance with the agreement, ISTIQEME will offer complete support, including QR payment infrastructure deployment, account opening assistance, and merchant onboarding. To encourage acceptance, the business will also hold training sessions and merchant awareness campaigns.
Furthermore, ISTIQEME will support NBP branches with operational procedures, guaranteeing effective merchant onboarding and activation across various locations.
To boost the adoption of digital payments, the cooperation combines ISTIQEME’s knowledge of digital enablement with NBP’s extensive nationwide banking network.
According to officials, the project helps the State Bank of Pakistan’s efforts to increase financial inclusion and is in line with the larger goal of fostering a cashless economy.
Senior leaders from both organisations attended a ceremony at NBP’s regional office in Karachi to formally announce the partnership.
