National Bank of Pakistan (NBP) has initiated a major technology upgrade with the launch of a new Enterprise Service Bus (ESB) platform, marking a significant step in its digital transformation journey.
The agreement was formalized at NBP’s head office in a ceremony attended by Shaikh Ausaf Ahmed, Acting Chief Technology Officer at NBP, and Amin ul Hafeez, CEO of Arcana Info Pvt Ltd.
The ESB platform securely integrates NBP’s core banking system with various applications, enabling real-time transactions, faster processing, and improved service delivery across channels. The system enhances operational reliability through centralized monitoring, stronger performance controls, and secure data exchange without manual intervention.
Speaking at the event, Shaikh Ausaf Ahmed said, “The ESB strengthens the Bank’s digital foundation, improves system stability, and prepares NBP for future growth. With this successful rollout, NBP continues building a secure, reliable, and future-ready technology environment to enhance customer experience and meet the demands of a fast-changing financial industry.”
The platform also supports regulatory compliance, accelerates digital product launches, reduces integration complexity, and leverages DevOps automation to ensure seamless updates—positioning NBP for sustained innovation and operational agility.
