ISLAMABAD, August 20, 2026: JazzWorld, Pakistan’s leading digital ecosystem, has partnered with Google as part of Digital Pasban, a national online safety initiative aimed at helping Pakistani families navigate the digital world with greater confidence, awareness, and practical tools.
The initiative has been launched by Google with Tech Valley as a key partner. Digital Pasban seeks to reach 200,000 households nationwide through localized Urdu-language safety resources, instructional videos, parental toolkits, school-based safety clinics, and community outreach. The initiative brings together JazzWorld, Google, Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA), Tech Valley, Beaconhouse School System, and HUM Network, with support from relevant government ministries, to promote safer and more responsible digital participation among Pakistani families.
Through the partnership, JazzWorld will support efforts to promote greater awareness around responsible and safe digital participation, helping families better understand the opportunities and risks that come with increased access to digital services.
“As more of our lives move online, helping families navigate the digital world safely and confidently is becoming increasingly important. At JazzWorld, our responsibility goes beyond connecting people; it includes helping families understand the digital environment and make informed, responsible choices. Digital Pasban is a meaningful step in bringing practical safety tools, awareness and guidance to parents and children. We are proud to partner with Google and other stakeholders to help build a safer, more inclusive and digitally empowered Pakistan.” said Aamir Ibrahim, CEO JazzWorld.
“Pakistan’s digital ecosystem continues to grow, and more people are coming online to learn, create and connect. Supporting this momentum means protecting children in the digital space, not keeping them from it. Initiatives like Digital Pasban empower families with essential digital literacy, and strong cross-sector partnerships are critical to ensuring every family in Pakistan can explore the internet with confidence.” said Farhan Qureshi, Google’s Cluster Director for Pakistan, the Philippines, Thailand, and Frontier Markets.
Digital Pasban is built around four key pillars designed to help families navigate the digital world safely and responsibly: Google Family Link, which gives parents tools to manage screen time, app approvals, content filters, and device location; YouTube, which offers age-appropriate content settings and time-management features; Be Internet Awesome, which helps children aged 7–12 build essential digital citizenship skills; and Gemini, which supports responsible AI use through safeguards for minors and its Guided Learning feature.
The initiative will bring online safety education closer to communities through broadcast media, SMS alerts, partner social campaigns, and school-based town halls. At the heart of the programme are parent and guardian safety clinics, where families can learn practical ways to identify and respond to online risks and build the confidence needed to support children in their digital journeys.
Digital Pasban builds on Google’s broader digital skills and education efforts in Pakistan, including Digital Safar, through which more than 300,000 students and 5,000 educators have already been trained in digital citizenship, alongside a Punjab education partnership that has reached 1.5 million students through Google for Education.
