The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) is deploying an AI-powered system to track most wanted criminals by generating updated facial visuals and digitising its red book database.
An AI-powered technology has been implemented by the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) to assist in tracking and identifying the nation’s most wanted criminals.
Officials state that the technology updates suspects’ face images using artificial intelligence based on older photos. This makes it possible for law enforcement to identify people even if their appearance has altered over time.
The program is a component of an updated digital “red book” that includes extensive data about people who are wanted. Information, including CNIC and passport details, phone numbers, known associates, distinctive characteristics, and case histories, would all be included in the revised database.
The public and related officials will have online access to the red book, which will enhance coordination and information availability.
According to officials, the method is intended to make it more difficult for suspects to change their physical characteristics in order to avoid identification.
With over 140 people presently recorded, the database will also contain information about human traffickers, including their operational areas, routes, and most recent known locations.
The development is a component of FIA’s larger initiatives to enhance law enforcement procedures and digitise investigations.
