
FCCI and Baba Guru Nanak University have signed an MoU to enhance industry-academia collaboration and promote skill development.
Faisalabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (FCCI) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Baba Guru Nanak University to strengthen industry-academia collaboration and promote skill development.
The agreement was signed by FCCI President Farooq Yousaf Sheikh and Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Shahid Imran. The partnership aims to bridge the gap between academic learning and industry requirements through joint initiatives.
Under the MoU, both institutions will collaborate on training programs, seminars, workshops and conferences to equip students with market-relevant skills. The initiative will particularly focus on developing a skilled workforce in regions surrounding Nankana Sahib.
Officials stated that the collaboration will support industries by providing trained human resources while improving employability for graduates. It is also expected to promote innovation, research collaboration and knowledge sharing between academia and industry.
The partnership is seen as a step toward sustainable economic development by aligning education with evolving market needs and technological advancements.
