Faysal Bank introduces Pakistan’s first tap-and-withdraw ATM service, enabling secure, cardless cash access via smartphones and advancing digital banking innovation.
Faysal Bank Limited has rolled out Pakistan’s first Mobile Tap and Withdraw service, allowing customers to access cash from ATMs without carrying a physical debit card. The move signals a growing shift toward contactless and digital banking solutions in the country.
Through the Faysal Digibank app, users can convert their debit or Noor cards into a digital format. This enables them to withdraw cash by simply tapping their smartphones on enabled ATMs, using secure tokenized authentication instead of traditional card-based access.
The bank stated that the initiative reflects its focus on building a more convenient and digitally driven banking experience. “The goal is to deliver a seamless, digital-first banking experience,” officials noted.
Globally, cardless ATM services have become increasingly popular as financial institutions adopt safer and faster transaction methods. With this launch, Faysal Bank brings similar capabilities to Pakistan, positioning itself at the forefront of local banking innovation.
Experts believe such advancements could encourage wider use of contactless services, particularly among tech-savvy users seeking efficiency and enhanced security in everyday transactions.
