Faysal Bank Limited (FBL), a leading Islamic bank in Pakistan, has joined forces with Akhuwat Foundation and The Citizens Foundation (TCF) to introduce an interest-free solar financing program focused on sustainability and women’s empowerment. Unveiled on International Women’s Day, this initiative allows women educators and individuals across Pakistan to install solar energy systems with flexible repayment options, easing financial strain and promoting long-term stability.

Faysal Bank, Akhuwat Foundation, and TCF formalized their partnership through an MoU signing at Faysal House. The initiative aims to empower educators and women in Pakistan by providing flexible, interest-free solar financing. Key attendees included Faysal Bank CEO Yousaf Hussain, Akhuwat Foundation Founder Dr. Amjad Saqib, and senior FBL management.

His initiative supports global climate goals by promoting green energy, reducing costs, cutting carbon emissions, and decreasing dependence on the national grid. Faysal Bank is committed to financial relief and sustainability, particularly for women educators. CEO Yousaf Hussain emphasized the bank’s dedication to renewable energy, financial empowerment, and fostering resilience, aligning with the Accelerate Action theme of International Women’s Day. The collaboration between Faysal Bank, Akhuwat Foundation, and TCF highlights their shared dedication to economic empowerment, environmental sustainability, and social development.
