The Fauji Foundation group on Thursday launched Sky47 Cloud and AI, a state-of-the-art platform designed to meet Pakistan’s growing demand for secure, locally hosted digital storage and advanced computing.
The facility, described as the country’s largest cloud and AI infrastructure, houses more than 3,000 racks with a power capacity of up to 50MW. It is equipped to handle high-density artificial intelligence and machine learning workloads, including liquid-cooling technology for efficiency.
Speaking at the inauguration, Fauji Foundation Chairman retired Lt Gen Anwar Ali Hyder said, “Digital infrastructure has become central to national development. We must build resilient platforms that strengthen Pakistan’s economic and technological independence.” He added that the project is aimed at supporting long-term requirements for secure and reliable data hosting within the country.
Officials noted that Sky47 provides scalable “sovereign cloud” services tailored for enterprises and hyperscalers. Its modular design allows for future expansion, positioning the platform as a cornerstone for Pakistan’s digital transformation and innovation ecosystem.
