Danish company FLSmidth will be launching a training program for 100 local engineers at the Pakistan Minerals Investment Forum on April 8-9, aimed at modernizing mining practices with sustainable tech and cutting-edge skills, upgrading Pakistan’s mining sector.
Federal Petroleum Minister Ali Pervaiz Malik met with Denmark’s Ambassador Jakob Linulf to talk collaboration in energy and mining, capitalizing on Danish expertise to update Pakistan’s mineral development while keeping it eco-friendly.
FLSmidth, known for sustainable mining and cement tech, is leading the Bradshaw Research Initiative for Minerals and Mining (BRIMM – University of British Columbia) program to sharpen engineers’ skills with a focus on making mining more efficient and less harmful to the environment.
Malik asserted Pakistan’s open for foreign investment and ready to embrace advanced tech to make it happen. Meanwhile, Denmark extends its commitment with shipping giant A.P. Moller – Maersk pledging $2 billion to upgrade Pakistan’s deep-sea ports, focusing on ship recycling and refueling with green ammonia.
