Azerbaijan Allocates $2 Billion Investment in Pakistan

Azerbaijan has committed to investing $2 billion across Pakistan’s energy and other economic sectors, marking a significant step in strengthening bilateral economic ties. This announcement was made by Azerbaijan’s Minister of Economy, Mikayil Jabbarov, during his official visit to Islamabad, where he met with top Pakistani officials. The investment aims to support a range of development projects, particularly in energy infrastructure, agriculture, and information technology.

Jabbarov emphasized the shared vision of both nations in boosting regional connectivity and trade, expressing confidence in Pakistan’s economic potential. He noted that this investment initiative is part of Azerbaijan’s broader strategy to deepen cooperation with key regional partners. Pakistan’s leadership welcomed the move, highlighting the mutual benefits and job creation prospects it could generate.

Officials from both countries agreed to further explore partnerships in renewable energy and logistics, and enhance collaboration through the Pakistan-Azerbaijan Joint Working Group. This development reflects growing diplomatic and economic synergy between the two nations, underpinned by shared geopolitical interests and an ambition to expand regional integration.
