Askari Bank Limited has reiterated its commitment to supporting Pakistan’s economic development by accelerating its shift toward a stable, ethical, and inclusive financial system through the expansion of Shariah-compliant banking services.
Islamic Banking is now accessible across Askari Bank’s entire branch network, marking a major milestone in the institution’s transformation journey. The move aligns with The State Bank of Pakistan’s Vision 2028 and follows the directives of the Federal Shariah Court, reinforcing national efforts to broaden the Islamic finance ecosystem.
Commenting on the progress, Zia Ijaz, President and Chief Executive Officer of Askari Bank, said the Bank has achieved significant momentum in rolling out Islamic Banking nationwide. He noted that 50 percent of the Bank’s branches have been fully converted to Islamic Banking, while the remaining locations are offering Shariah-compliant deposit products through dedicated Islamic Banking Windows.
“This achievement reflects the dedication and agility of our team and reinforces our commitment to delivering ethical, inclusive, and customer-centric financial solutions across Pakistan,” he said.
Askari Bank said the expansion of Islamic Banking is aimed at deepening financial inclusion, supporting sustainable economic activity, and playing a meaningful role in shaping Pakistan’s evolving financial landscape.
